Veg Momos Recipe With Chilli Sauce.

Veg momos is one of the very popular north Indian starter recipe which is really very delicious and tempting in taste. It is exclusively available at street food shops and carts in north Indian cities. Making momos is bit difficult task and also requires bit more time but if you have someone with you to help then it becomes bit easier. And it’s really true that if you want to eat something yum then you have to give time and be patience.

Mainly it is prepared from all purpose flour dough, some vegetables, red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, soy sauce and some other spices. In north India there are many specialized momos restaurants who make only and only momos and there you can taste many different varieties of momos with a unique and authentic taste. You can serve this veg momos with spicy sauces but if you serve to kids then use sweet sauces.

Momos can be made by both ways steaming and frying but I personally like steamed once as they taste more delicious then of fried once. Here you will see this vegetable momos recipe with very simple step by step instructions so you can make it at your home without any difficulties and hustles. Ingredients for Veg Momos:

1 Cup Binded All Purpose Flour.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Cabbage.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Carrot.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Capsicum.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Onion.
1 tsp Finely Chopped Ginger.
1 tsp Finely Chopped Garlic.
1 tsp Red Chilli Sauce.
½ tsp Green Chilli Sauce.
1 tsp Soya Sauce.
1 tsp Vinegar.
½ tsp Ajinomoto.
Salt according to taste.
1 tbsp Oil.

How to Make Veg Momos:

Step 1.

First of all in a nonstick pan heat oil, when oil get heated add ginger and garlic and cook it little.

Step 2.

Now add cabbage, carrot, onion and capsicum and cook all the veggies on high heat for little time then add red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, soya sauce, vinegar ajinomoto and salt.
Now cook all the ingredients for 5 minutes at high heat then take out the mixture in a plate and let it cool.

Step 3.

Take binded flour and make small puris from it, now put around 1 tsp of mixture the centre of puri and fold from both the ends, now give the shape of momos to it.

Step 4.

Now grease all the momos with oil and put in steamer and steam it for around 10-12 minutes, after 10-12 minutes take out the momos and serve with soya vinegar and chilli sauce.
