Hello guys here is a simple, easy and quick gujarati curry recipe which is very popular in entire gujarat. This curry is well known as sev tomato bhaji or sev tomato curry. It is really very tempting and delicious in taste, you will get little spicy, sweet and tangy taste in this curry. Same curry is also very popular in Rajasthan but they makes this curry little more spicy, you will find this curry in most of the roadside dhabas and restaurants.

This quick sev tomato bhaji is mainly prepared from Ratlami Sev (Gram flour snack), tomatoes and some other spices. Usually this curry is prepared dry but if you like gravy then you can also add some water. It goes really good with roti, chapatti and rice. This curry is well known as “Sev Tameta Nu Shaak” in gujarati language and it is much craze amongst the gujarati people.

You can prepare this healthy and delicious sev tamatar ki sabji for lunch and dinner. Ingredients for Sev Tomato Bhaji:

400 gm Tomatoes.
100 gm Ratlami Sev.
1 tsp Fennel Seeds.
1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
1-2 tbsp Jaggery.
½ tsp Shahi Garam Masala.
Salt according to taste.
3 tbsp Oil.

How to Make Sev Tomato Bhaji:

Step 1.

First of all wash tomatoes and chop in small equal size of pieces, now heat oil in pan, when oil gets heated add in cumin seeds, fennel seeds and let them crackle.

Step 2.

Now add in chopped tomatoes and mix well then add in red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, jaggery and mix all the spices well, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3.

After 2-3 minutes add in shahi garam masala and again cover and cook for another 1 minute, after 1 minutes remove the lead and add in ratlami sev and mix well.

Step 4.

Now cook it for 1 minute more, after adding sev all the excess water will be soaked and curry will become dry, after 1 minute turn the heat off and take out in serving plate, you can serve this delicious curry with roti, chapatti or rice.
