You can prepare this quick pyaz mirch gathiya Sabji for lunch or dinner and have it with roti or rotla (millet flour bread). This is a dry curry but you can also make it semi-dry or gravy by adding more water and curd. Ingredients for Pyaz Mirch Gathiya Sabji:

200 gm Small Onions.
100 gm Green Chillies Chopped in 1 Inch Size.
100 gm Gathiya.
1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
1 tsp Coriander Powder.
1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder.
Salt according to taste.
2-3 tbsp Oil.

How to Make Pyaz Mirch Gathiya Sabji:

Step 1.

First of all heat oil in a non stick pan, when oil gets hot add in chillies and fry them little then take out in a plate.

Step 2.

Now in the same pan add cumin seeds and let the crackle, now add ginger chilli paste and saute well then add peeled small onions and stir well.

Step 3.

Now add in turmeric powder, coriander powder, kashmiri red chilli powder and salt, be careful while add in salt because gathiya itself has salt, mix all the spices well.

Step 4.

Now add little water, add very small amount of water that onions get cooked nicely, cover and cook it till onions become soft, when onions get cooked add in fried green chillies, don’t cook chillies for long as they are already cooked first.

Step 5.

Now add gathiya and mix well then cover and cook for 1 minute, after 1 minute turn the heat off, take out the yummy pyaz mirch gathiya curry in a serving plate and serve hot with roti or bajre ka rotla (Millet Flour Bread).

Notes
Don’t take hot and spicy chillies for this curry.
Add very less amount of water because this curry tastes dry.
If you want to make this curry semi dry or watery then add more water plus you can also add 2-3 tbsp curd also but it tastes good if you make dry.
