Hello friends today here we are again with a quick, easy and delicious fasting snack recipe which is well known as meeng makhane ki namkeen. Mainly this Indian snacks recipe is prepared from makhane or fox nut, melon seeds, almonds and some other ingredients. This simple namkeen recipe is very easy to make plus you can make it in just 7 to 10 minutes. Usually in fast we require calories as we don’t have foods during fasting so this one is best have at time.

In India we people do fast in Navratri, janmashtmi and some other festivals and for that we make fasting foods. There are very few recipes available for fasting so I tried to make some recipes and it is one of them. Makhane is a really very healthy ingredient and used in many fasting recipes, taste of makhane is not much tasty but if you want to eat something healthy than I must say this is best to have.

All the required ingredients to make this quick meeng makhane ki namkeen are very simple and commonly available at nearby grocery shops and markets. Ingredients for Meeng Makhane ki Namkeen:

1 Cup Makhana.
½ Cup Melon Seeds.
¼ Cup Almonds.
Some Raisins.
Some Chopped Dry Coconut.
Black Pepper.
Rock Salt or Sendha Namak as per taste.
2 tsp Pure Ghee or Desi Ghee.

How to Make Meeng Makhane ki Namkeen:

Step 1.

First of all dry roast the seeds in a pan, stir continuously so they don’t get burnt, when seeds start crackling take them out in a plate.

Step 2.

Now in the same pan put ghee then add almonds and fry them at medium heat till become light brown, stir them continuously, don’t fry much else they’ll taste bitter, take them out in a plate.

Step 3.

Now in the same ghee put dry coconut and fry them also till become light golden brown then take out in plate, now put makhane in same ghee and fry them little then turn the heat off and take out them in plate.

Step 4.

Now add raisins, black pepper and sendha namak in all the fried ingredients and mix well and serve.
