Ingredients for Mathri:

500 gm All Purpose Flour or Maida.
200 gm Semolina.
¾ tsp Ajwain.
Salt as per taste.
160 ml Ghee.
Oil for Frying.

How to Make Mathari:

Step 1.

First of all take all purpose flour and semolina in a big bowl then add in salt, ajwain and mix well.

Step 2.

Now add in about 160 ml ghee and mix with flour well till flour become like of bread crums consistency then add water as per required and knead soft dough from it.

Step 3.

Keep the kneaded dough aside for 10 minutes (You will need about 325-350 ml water to knead dough), now make small sizes of balls from dough and heat oil for frying mathris.

Step 4.

Now roll the balls like puri but roll small sizes of mathri then of puris and little thick, you can roll out round or any shape as you like, after rolling some mathris make dots on them using knife or folk spoon.

Step 5.

Now put the mathris in medium hot oil and fry till become light golden brown then take out in a serving plate and enjoy.
