What is Paratha?
A Paratha is an Indian flat bread made from Wheat Flour cook on the Tava or Griddle by applying some Oil or Butter on it.This dish is very popular not only in India but all over the world and serve with the Indian Curry(s). You should cook this ,recipe for Breakfast or recipe for Lunch or cook this recipe for Dinner.This is a pure vegan recipe.
Recipe of Flat India Bread Paratha.
Cooking Time: 10 minutes for dough making and 30 minutes for baking.
Cooking Level: Easy.
Serving: 4 to 5.
Ingredients/Spices or Seasonings.
- 250 Grams Wheat Flour.
- 7 Teaspoon(tsp) Ghee or Clarified Butter.
- 10 tsp Oil.
- 1 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds.
- Salt to Taste.
- Some extra Wheat Flour for rolling.
How to Cook or Cooking Methods.
- Put the all Wheat Flour in to the one big bowl and add 2 teaspoon Ghee,4 tsp oil, Cumin Seeds, Salt and waster as per requirement.Mix this well and make the soft dough from this.
- Keep this aside for at least half an hour.
- After dough became ready to use make small balls from this of equal sizes.
- Now sprinkle some flour on to the cooking base or Rolling Board and make a simple chapati as we make regularly and apply some Ghee on it and sprinkle some Flour on it, then fold it and apply some Ghee again on it and fold and give the shape as given in the above photograph of Paratha with help of Rolling Pin.
- Now cook this on Tava or Griddle both the side and when it half cooked apply some oil on it with help of Brush or Spoon on it and cook it till golden brown.
- After cooking a each Paratha (optional) apply some Ghee or Butter as you like on it and serve it hot with you favorite Indian curry.
