Egg-less Recipe For Naan or Recipe of Naan in Microwave Oven

What is Naan?

Naan is an Indian flat bread cook in the Tandoori Oven or Microwave Oven and made from the All Purpose Flour known as Maida in India and serve with the Indian Curry(s). Usually Indian cook this recipe for Lunch and most often cook this recipe for Dinner.This is a pure vegan recipe.

Recipe of Flat India Bread Naan (Egg Less). 

Prep Time:  10 minutes.
Cooking Time:30 minutes.
Cooking Level: Easy.
Serving: 4 to 5.


Ingredients/Spices or Seasonings.

  1. 2 cups All Purpose Flour or Maida. (250 Grams) .
  2. 1/2 tsp Baking Powder. 
  3. 5 Teaspoon(tsp) Ghee or Clarified Butter.(5 ML).
  4. 2 tsp Sesame Seeds.
  5. 2 tsp Sugar.
  6. 2 tsp Poppy Seeds.Known as Khus Khus in India.
  7. 2 tsp Yeast (dry)
  8. 6 tsp Yogurt. 
  9. Salt to Taste. 
  10. Some extra All Purpose Flour.

How to Cook or Cooking Method.

  1.  This is going to be a delicious dish,first of all melt the sugar and yeast in one bowl with the help of look warm water and wait for 2 to 3 minutes or until they get dissolved. 
  2. Put the All Purpose Flour in to the one big Bowl and add the yeast and melted sugar,Ghee, Sesame seeds,yogurt and waster as per requirement.Mix this well and make the soft dough from this.
  3. Cover dough with the wet towel and keep the dough aside for at least 2-3 hours.
  4.  After dough became ready to use make small balls from this.
  5. Now sprinkle some flour on to the cooking base or Rolling Board and give the shape as given in the above photograph of Naan Bread with help of hands and sprinkle some Poppy seeds and take this to the baking plate.
  6. Now Bake this in Tandoori oven or Preheated Microwave Oven(400 Degrees F or 200 Degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until Naan become golden brown.
  7. After baking Naan apply some Ghee or Butter as you like on it and serve it hot with you favorite Indian curry.
